Poptropica Mini Games Overview

Poptropica gets more exciting with the mini games embedded in it. Aside from the island adventures, these mini games help you to interact more with your fellow Poptropicans. These mini games are held in the different multiplayer rooms located in the game. When you have chosen the player you want to battle, there are two options that will appear which are chat and battle. When you opt for Battle, a list of games will show up. Just click on the game you want to play and then your chosen opponent will also be given options, which are Sure and No, Thank you. If they choose Sure, the game will start and if they choose for No, Thank you, you have to search for another Poptropican who wants to play with you. So now, here’s the list of mini games you will surely enjoy playing.

Hoops

Hoops is a basketball shooting game. The goal is to be the first to make five shots to win before your opponent does. To do so you will use your mouse to aim and power your shot and then click to throw. The basket will be in the middle and the two players will have their ball on their hands and will try to shoot the ball in that basket. If you succeed to hoop or even failed, you will be given another ball for you to continue throwing. The twist of the game is whenever someone scores a point; the basket will be move a little up or down. To win this game you must find the best angle and aim high for you to have the longest arrow that it can be pointed easily at the hoop.

Sky Dive

Sky Dive looks easy but the important factor to consider in here is timing. Your main goal is to safely reach the ground before your opponent. The game will start on the clouds where the two players are waiting for the Go signal. Make sure to jump after the go signal because if you do it earlier you will have a false start making your opponent win for that round. So be attentive on waiting for the go signal. As soon as it says Go, you should click to jump down from the cloud. Next you must have the right time to open up your parachute and the best time for it is when you see the blue top of mountains or the green treetops. When you failed to open up your parachute on time, you will crash on the ground making your opponent win even though you landed first because that is the goal of the game, to land safely on the ground. There are also scenarios that the game will be tied, which is if both players did not reach the ground safely or they have both false starts.

Paint War

Paint War’s goal is to pop seven balloons. You will have your gun (or the cannon) which you can drag to aim. And then you press, hold and release the fire button to shoot at the paint balloons. In this game the two players will be standing next to their paint cannon on either side of the game screen. There will be a cluster of colored balloons on a white background. They are floating on air in random spots and just hit on them. There will be no limit on time and shooting but you should be fast and alert for you to win. You can choose to shoot the balloons closest to you for you to save time or you can hit the big ones because they are easy to target. The player gets seven points will win. The game will be over and you will see that all balloons will pop and paint will be scattered on the white background declaring a winner.

Star Link

Star Link’s goal is to link the stars together to form a box and have the highest score to win. You will earn a point for every box you form. The total highest score that can be gain is twelve points. The game settings will be two players sitting on the either the blue or red spaceship of the game screen. There will be twenty yellow stars placed on a 5 x 4 grid. To connect the stars you can click on the lines turning it to your team’s color, which is red or blue. To win this game you must be watchful. You have to be careful on the two lines already click because that can be grab by your opponent. Instead click on the other lines and when you see a box that was ¾ finished, click on that line to form a box and earn a point.

Soupwords

Soupwords is good in enhancing your spelling skills. You will have a bowl of alphabet soup and your goal is to spell words by connecting two or more letters and have as much as many words as you can before the soup gets cold. In this game there are sixteen letters on a 4 x 4 grid. There will be a time limit which is about one minute long. For that time period players must spell words as fast as they can. Scores will be seen after the game. Each letter in a word is equivalent to two points and only those existing words will earn them. The best technique for this game is to choose those long words you know that exist or try to add letter S or ED or any suffix to make it longer. But if you are unable to find long words the best option you can have is to click many of those short or little words quickly.
