Poptropica Store

Chances are if you’ve played Poptropica for a while, then you’re familiar with the Poptropica Store. This is the area where you can purchase costumes and special items for your avatar in the game. The items are purchased with credits, which you earn from successfully completing islands in the game. In general, the gold card items cost 250 credits each and the costumes are 75 credits each.

Paid members in Poptropica don’t have to use credits for any of the items in the store: they’re all completely free as long as your membership is active. Also, some of the items in the store are members-only items, which means they cannot be purchased for credits at all. Some examples include early access island items like the Garlic Breath power and Vampire Bat Gum.

To get to the store, click on the green Poptropica coin in the upper-right area of your screen. The store appears but does not interrupt your game. As soon as you’re done browsing through the store, you’ll return to exactly where you were.

Poptropica Store Costumes

There are over 60 different costumes available in the Poptropica Store and the Creators add new ones all the time. There are so many costumes that it would be impossible to buy them all with credits, so the only way to access them all is to become a paid member. The costumes are located at the bottom of the store window and they are previewed by a series of Poptropicans walking past. You can scroll left and right to see them all. There are also tabs available to see just the Newest, the Most Popular, or the Creator’s Picks. If you prefer a list view of all the costumes, you can choose that as well.

Poptropica Store Gold Cards

The Gold Cards appear in the center of the Store and you can scroll through all of them from left to right. The Gold Cards are usually special powers or effects that you can give to your Poptropica Avatar, such as Electrify or Meteor Shower. There are also some members-only costumes here and a few select mini-games.
