Looking for Nessie in Poptropica Cryptids Island
Poptropica Cryptids Island is the latest island quest in the popular online game Poptropica. In Cryptids Island, you are part of a contest sponsored by the billionaire Harold Mews. He wants to find proof that cryptids exist. These are mysterious creatures like Bigfoot and Nessie, the Loch Ness Monster. Cryptids Island becomes available on Monday December 20 for paid subscribers on Poptropica. Everyone else will get to play it about a month later.
For a few weeks before the island was released, everyone was able to view a sneak peek of Cryptids Island. The sneak peek showed the Loch Ness area, where you could try and spot Nessie, the Loch Ness monster, through a viewfinder. If you spotted her, you won a limited edition Nessie hat!
I just finished playing Cryptids Island and it is pretty good. It’s not as hard as some of the more recent quests in Poptropica but it is very long. That’s because you have to keep traveling back and forth between all the different places. I am going to put together a complete guide and walkthrough that shows all the cheats and secrets. In the meantime, PoptropicaSecrets has already made walkthrough videos (how does she do them so quickly???) and I am linking to them here.

after finding the jersey devil, you dont have to climb the mtns. a second time, you just click the rope and it will say go up and you will appear at the palace on top MUCH FASTER THAN RECLIMBING THE STUPID MOUNTAINS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

for when you go to puerto rico, i went to deliver the fur, and i went to ride the jeep the second time and i couldnt! i tried to talk to people and they said either char1 char2 or char3. what do i do?

To get the truck out of the mud you have to click on the tires and you close up on them. Next you click and hold on the little golden thing, and you let the air out of the tires. Then he gives you his camera so you can take a picture of “Nessie”
That costume (red chrismas ornament) looks sooooo lame. It makes your guy look really fat too. Ha Ha Ha!!!

In Puerto Rico, drive the jeep to the upper left corner (top left star) on the map. Go to the very right of the place and start jumping up all of the springy pegs, and you will find the bolt cutters at the top.
You can use them to open the dumpster in New Jersey, then take the junk door into the restroom to get driving directions.
oh and you have to help out the guy not find it ps i am talking about the camera

To get the lantern, go to the Himalayins. Once you get there, move right, and there will be a building. Go inside (go right) and talk to the guy. He WON’T give you the Yeti head, but will give you the LANTERN. To light it, go wherethe Loch Ness monster is, and go to the Pub,inside on the Bar’s table you will find matches. Light the latern, and use it in New Jersey. GOOD LUCK!

HERES’S HOW YOU CAN GET THE CAMERA!
First go to Lock Ness ( Nessie). Get off the hellicopter, and go right, you’ll see a man, who’s car is stuck. Talk to him and tell him you’ll help. To do this, click on the tire, now, it’s the front tire on the LEFT…not right…LEFT side!Click on the tire (again), and some air will come out! The car will now fit under the bridge. THE MAN WILL THANK YOU, AND HE’LL GIVE YOU A CAMERA.Good Luck!

TO GET TO THE MANSION, HERE’S WHAT YOUHAVE TO DO!
Once on the island go left, you’ll see a guy, he’ll give you a poster/flyer. Then go right, keep going and going,you’ll see a lady and a dog, keeep going right… you’ll see a tired gardener.. look at the tree to the right of him… THERE’S MONEY!Get the money and go to the GENERAL store on main street ( you probably saw it when you first arrived) use the money to buy a sports drink, and go back to the tired gardener and give him the drink ( He’ll give you a pair of gardening scissors). Go back to the main street, then go left ( people should be flying kites!) Look around, and a female should ask you to give her a push. Do it, and find a male who’s in a blimp( not the one in the beggining who already took off; another guy)
BUT! You’ll get rescued… YOUR IN THE MANSION…. GOOD LUCK!
use the gardening scissors to cut off the rope. You’ll get nilon string. Go back to main street and go to the Kite shop ( KITTY’S KITES). Go in your brown backpack,(in the corner of the screen)and click “use” on the nilon string. The owner of the store ( Kitty) will ask you to pick a kite, get the KITESURFER X 250. Go back where all the people were flying kites and fly yours. Soon a lady will set fire on your sail, and you’ll fall

To get the bolt/wire cutter, take the helicopter to Puerto Rico. Once you get there, you’ll see a guy in a hot-air ballon crash…. then go see what happended, a guy in a hat, with a mustache will explain. Ask to borrow his jeap, he’ll say yes, but you have to deliver something to his brother (Do this later; your choice).Ok,now,moving-on,once you are in the Jeep, there will be a map in the upper right corner of the screen. Stars, mark each place… go to the star at the UPPER LEFT CORNER of the map. Good Job! Your almost done! Once you are off the copter, you will be next to a man. Find your way to the right(that means go right!) and you’ll see a long brown ladder/thing with little poles sticking out of it(you’ll understand once you actuallly do it) jump on the poles until you get to the top off the mountain/hill. You’ll find wire cutters to open the dumpster at New Jersey! GOOD LUck! And sorry for the confusion:)
